I work with paper, cutting, tearing, slicing, and layering to create 2-D dimensional images. Get close and see that the texture, depth, light and shadow are developed through the layering, texture and choice of colored paper.
 
 

Vaquita (porpoise)

Endangered species Vaquita (porpoise). Lives in the Gulf of Mexico. Endangered because of gillnet trapping when poaching on Totoaba (fish) which is also endangered for its swim bladder in traditional Chinese medicine. There are only 30 left in 2001. Medium: paper, gel medium on canvas. 9" x 12"
